Views and Pews
A short drive along the coast takes us to a very pretty walk along forest tracks through thick pine tree forests with panoramic mountain views, sea views over the Mediterranean and the bay of Calpe. A delicious picnic lunch at a beautifully restored chapel over looking the Natural Park of the Penon d’Ilfach. Dinner in the evening is at one of Denia’s best restaurants.

Montgo Natural Park
Standing 753 metres tall and reaching out to the Mediterranean Sea is the Montgo Natural Park. With a wealth of walks you are spoilt for choice. An easy to moderate linear walk with impressive landscapes we see the Gulf of Valencia, the mountains of La Safor and on a clear day the Island of Ibiza. Features include the old stone windmills, the mirador cliff face and the abundance of flora. The walk ends in the pretty fishing harbour of Javea where we stop for a refreshing drink and enjoy a tasty lunch before heading back to Denia.

River Deep Mountain High
In contrast to the previous days walk we take a short drive up to La Safor. With most of the steep climbing taken out we begin the walk high up with a spectacular view of the river Serpis and the valley bottom. After stopping at the old railway station in L’Orxa for a picnic, we return along an old railway following the banks of the river and passing through a series of railway tunnels. Dinner in the evening in Denia.   

Valencia day trip or rest day
You choose! Enjoy a free day from walking to explore the city of Valencia. With its contrast of the historic and the modern, this must-see city truly excites the senses. Be sure to take in the cathedral, world famous City of Arts & Sciences, breathtaking beaches, tranquil river park, varied museums and buzzing café street life - not to mention its sophisticated shops. We will supply you with a map and details on what to do, where to go and places to eat, and transfer you to the heart of this fascinating city to ensure that you make the most of your visit. Alternatively you may prefer to spend your free day exploring the cultural side of Denia or taking a short amble along the rocky coastline or take a short train ride to the pretty village of Altea. We will provide you with all the information you need.

A "hole" lot of Paella
The Sierra Bernia is one of the classic walks from the Walks in Spain catalogue. You are treated to magnificent views of the Marina Alta mountain ranges on one side and passing through a natural opening that acts as a tunnel in the rocks the views stretch for miles of coastline overlooked by the impressive Puig Camapana mountain. The walk ends with a typical Valencia paella lunch in a hill top restaurant.

Spanish Steps
A short drive takes us into la Vall de Laguar, a stunning valley of almond, cherry and orange groves, peace and tranquillity. Features associated with today’s walk include the imposing site of the Baranco del Infierno, the stonewalled terraces which cover the mountain edges and part of the Mozarabic trail. We end the walk with lunch in one of the areas most scenic restaurant. A perfect end to the week!

Departure Day
After breakfast your hosts will personally take you to the airport. Time to say goodbye after a very enjoyable week walking in the best areas the orange blossom coast has to offer.
